The PORSCHE 992 (or 911 Type 992) was presented in November 2018 and marketed in 2019. It is the eighth generation of Porsche 911 since 1963 and replaces the 911 Type 991 released in 2011. In December 2021, a development mule of the 911 Type 992 in Turbo version is observed, with a light camouflage. In November 2022, two 911 type 992, having undergone significant technical modifications, climb the Ojos del Salado, in Chile. These cars thus reach an altitude of 6,007 meters on the highest volcano in the world. The restyled version of the 8th generation 911 is presented in June 2024. It introduces the first hybrid 911 in history. The Carrera, Carrera GTS, Carrera 4 GTS and Targa 4 GTS models receive new front lights and a new front bumper.
