The third-generation Cayenne is presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show from September 14 to 24, 2017. It is this third generation that will cross the symbolic milestone of the millionth Cayenne produced, in December 2020. The restyled version of the Cayenne is presented on April 18, 2023 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The restyling of the Cayenne presents new front and rear bumpers, new optics featuring, as an option, a new 'HD Matrix' technology allowing increased performance and precision of the light beam, particularly in full headlights. These new optics are also more energy-efficient. The Cayenne sees its trunk modified, with its location dedicated to the license plate migrating to the bumper, in the manner of its coupé version. The new rear optics see the appearance of a three-dimensional strip, as well as the Porsche monogram, in the manner of the 911 (992). New rims and new colors are added to the catalog. Inside, the dashboard evolves to accommodate a fully digital instrument cluster similar to that of the Taycan.
